Tonight’s debate
Wow, Fred knocked it out of the park tonight on FoxNews’ South Carolina debate. Here’s the SC voter focus-group’s response.
If Fred can pull a win out of SC and Romney, Huckabee, and Rudy continue losing steam, Thompson could clean up on Feb. 5. He has a great grassroots network in those 20 states, and will be able to carry the banner of the conservative movement. Remember that Fred was drafted into this race- he doesn’t need to do a whole lot of organization-building to get support. The bloggers and grassroots conservatives who begged him to run will support him when the momentum gets going. Hopefully the facts of Huckabee’s liberal governance on fiscal, defence, and immigration issues will stick turn the evangelical conservatives back to Thompson- in case you missed it.
